Okay. 5 things Mick carries in his pockets at all times.

1) An old-fashioned lighter. (Thank goodness, he has a bunch of them... that one he used to blow up Lola wasn't his only one.)
2) A pocket knife. Because every man his age (my dad is his age) has one.
3) An unopened small roll of fruit flavor Life Savers. When he needs to talk to kids, he sucks on one for a little while to make his breath small nice. Plus, it's never a bad idea to have a bribe for a little kid.
4) His wallet, which has his PI license in it, among other things.
5) His cell phone. (That one's obvious... you can always see it in the pictures.)

2. The little scruffy mutt dog he had as a boy. His constant companion.

4. A street dog he tried to befriend, after he was turned, who snarled and ran away...to his intense sorrow.
5. The semi-independent cat who shared his apartment when he was a struggling musician, and whom he called "Bix" after a jazzman he admired.

Five meals Coraline tried immediately when she became human.

Things Coraline ate:

1) A whole plate of madeleines, because she's always wanted to taste them since she read Remembrance of Things Past. (She was a little disappointed, but she'd never admit it.)
2) Steak tartare. She figured she'd get the best of both worlds that way... kill two bats, so to speak...
3) Cheese souffle. She likes the texture, and she loved cheese as a child. And a big salad.
4) Does chocolate count as a meal? Dark, dark chocolate with raspberry filling. She likes the way the red liquid oozes out when she bites into it.
5) The carpaccio plate, with french fries. Because she's a rebel, and those two things really, really don't go together.
