Started to reread this lovely series again yesterday and got the first few out of order but now I am back on track.

The entire series is beautiful, showcases different characters, relationships and moments in their lives but this one is my favorite. While this still presents us with a future for Mick, Beth and Andi that will be complicated and even sometimes difficult, at this time and place, they have peace, family, home and love.

And finding peace, hope and love at dawn in a great place to start!

Thank you.

Jenna

Oh I love that you have a favourite, jen. :hearts:

This series really was great fun to write - totally different from anything I've ever tried before - and I'm delighted it brought you back for a re-read.

Delighted to see this treasure pop to the top of Active Topics again.

Just as Vigil was an ending--a period at the end of the sentence of Mick and Coraline (if there can ever really be an ending), Lauds is the dawn that follows the sunset.

Joy comes in the morning, indeed.

Thanks!

Indeed it does - new beginnings all round. There's something so transient about an hour in a day in a vampire's lifetime, but somehow I think that makes the special moments all the more memorable for our vamps, hence the rationale for the whole series.

Thanks again for reading and commenting.

I've read this before. The second time is just as touching as the first. I can totally see Mick doing his rituals. And at the end of it all, heaven awaits. I can almost feel his happiness.

This is just wonderul. Thank you Red. :flowers:

I would say exquisite, but I have already used that word today about Vigil, so I think there is a rule about overusing the same adjective. It would work here perfectly, though.

This is a wonderfully satisfying point. Mick, Beth and Andi have found their future, and what a joy it is.

Thank you!

This is just so satisfying!

Mick and Beth still will have problems, maybe even difficulties, but they can face them together.

And that makes all the difference.

Lovely!

Thank you!

Just beautiful, Red. The contrast between Mick's continued violent, dangerous mission in the world beyond his home and his newly found peace an happiness inside with Beth and Andi... So well written; so effective in making us readers feel the joy. Just beautiful!! Thanks for this whole wonderful story!!!

PS: And thanks so much, Jen, for directing me to this final marvel!!!
