:redcandle: Okay, this is a repost from last year (and elsewhere!), but I wanted to save it until the appropriate season rolled around again....

Happy holidays, everyone! :gift:

Lucky

:xtree: :candles: :kwanzaa: :mistletoe:

Image

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house

Not a freshie was stirring, not even a mouse;

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,

Image

In hopes that Santa Kostan soon would be there

(Hey, we know how he likes HIS stockings filled…);

The freshies were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of Josef Claus danced in their heads;

And Moonlight_Vixen in her 'kerchief, and Moonlight_Babe in her cap,

Had just settled down for a long winter's nap,

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,

We sprang from our beds to see what was the matter.

Away to the window Emma-Lee flew like a flash,

Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

Image

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow

(this must be an AU Los Angeles, you know…)

Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below,

When, what to our wondering eyes should appear,

Image

But a bright red Ferrari, and (sorry, no reindeer!),

With a handsome young driver, so lively and quick,

Image

We knew in a moment sure wasn’t Mick!

More rapid than eagles his freshies they came,

Image

And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

"Now, Lucky! now, Cassy! Now JIMS, and now Vixen!

On Eris! Now Synclair, and come along, Lilly!

To the top of the stairs! to the front of the hall!

Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"

So up to the house the Ferrari it flew,

Image

With the seat full of goodies, and Josef Claus, too.

The freshies were cheering and turning around,

When down the chimney Santa Kostan came with a bound.

Image

He was dressed in Armani, from his head to his toe,

Image

His tie and suspenders color-coordinated just so;

A bundle of gifts he had flung on his back,

And he looked like a (very upscale) peddler just opening his pack.

Image

His eyes -- how they twinkled! his fangs oh how merry!

His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!

Image

His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,

And his chin was fresh shaven no whiskers did show;

Image

He had a broad chest and a washboard flat belly,

That flexed, when he laughed, and turned us to jelly.

Image

He was smiling and handsome, a right jolly elf,

And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;

Image

A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,

Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,

Image

And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk,

And laying his finger aside of his nose,

And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;

Image

He sprang to his car, to the girls gave a whistle,

Image

And away then he flew like the down of a thistle.

But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,

"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good bite."

ROFL, Lucky.

Methinks you've been hanging out with Lilly too often. :snicker: Her rewriting ways are rubbing off. (Though I can't say the exposure has been a bad thing...)

:xtree:
:hyper2:

Now, how about a send-up of Santa Baby? :pray:

The Season's Festivities wouldn't be complete without the Annual reading!! :xtree:

(That's a frigid laugh... sort of a 'popsicle' for your Josef muse, who is très clever, Lucky!)

Love it, so glad I popped in here... was as snarky as I was hoping for!

Yay! It wouldn't be Christmas without this! :yahoo: And of course, I was dusting off my kerchief and getting ready to put it on for Josef Claus. I also have my cute "Vixen costume" all ready, too... :angel:

Let Christmas begin!! :xtree: :reddeer:
