Black Cadillac (2003)

Since this was mentioned on another thread, I thought we could use a dedicated place to discuss this movie.

Here's the trailer from IMDb: Black Cadillac

I bought the DVD a few months back but never had a chance to watch it. After the movie was mentioned on another thread, I popped it in last night intending to make a screencap. Somehow I got sucked in and ended up watching the whole thing. I have to say, it was much better than I expected.

"Young" Jason is just adorable and he provides a great deal of the comic relief in this movie. He has a great gift for comedy that I'd really like to see tapped more often.

Anyway, here are a few screencaps. I brightened them just a bit because the car interior is so dark.

I'm a fan of the teen horror genre and this is not a stereotypical "slasher" type movie. Jason's character is the one that has the true emotional growth in the movie. I did not feel like my 90 minutes was wasted.

Thank goodness it's not a "slasher" movie -- I couldn't have sat through that even for Jason. This is much more of a psychological thriller and I have enough trouble with those.

I agree, Carol, about the growth of Jason's character, Robby. He went from being the geeky comic relief to a character with a some unexpected depth. We got to see a lot more range with him than from the others.

Okay, I finally got to see this movie. It was good! Very suspenseful and an interesting reveal that I didn't see coming.
Spoiler:
I had a feeling Randy Quaid had something to do with it, but didn't know how. I thought he was the devil or something.
LOL

Jason was adorable and yes, he showed depth too, which was terrific. His high squeaky voice was cute too. Hee! The guy eating Pez was great comic relief too and that's what shocked me...the funny dialogue.

The director did a great job at making you feel so claustrophobic inside that car and with the snowstorm.

Definitely not a waste of time and seeing Jason is always awesome.

OK, you all sold me. This is about the only thing of Jason's that I haven't seen yet. Off to pull up my Netflix page.

I'll take a look at it again. I tried to cap it when I did the other caps, but I wasn't happy with the results.

Sooo...I happened to notice on IMDB that they had the full movie available for viewing there. Honest, I was just looking at Jason's page there...

You do have to register, and swear you're over 17...but it's there to watch.
