Deceiver - Mick and Coraline - finally on Youtube

On my third try, it appears that I've finally successfully gotten this video on to YouTube! Some of the WMG song restrictions seem to finally be lifting. I've also put up a link on Vimeo. This is an old video, but I thought I'd give it a bump here since it should be much simpler to watch it now.

This one's Kath's request, a bit of the darker side of Mick and Coraline using the song "Deceiver" by Disturbed. (FYI there is an explicit lyric in the song.)

And here are the lyrics -- they're on the blogspot also.
(Kath wrote them out for me. )

You've been caught in a LIE!
You can't deny it

[Verse One]
So let the war begin
You're far from innocent
Hell I just don't know where
It will end
You are the one to blame
You made a habit of
*ucking up my life
Another fallacy
Is laid in front of me
Now I just don't know
What to believe
Another animal
Sent to devour what-
Ever's left inside

[Chorus]
[I KNOW NOW!]
It's all been a lie
And I'll never come to know why
Awoke to discover
You leaving me now
It's all been a lie
I don't ever want to know,
Why
You've mastered the art of
Deceiving me now

[Verse Two]
A mortal enemy
Has been revealed to me
How come I wasn't able to see?
Another vampire
Getting a fix from
Sucking up my life
An evil entity
Had taken hold of me
Ripped out my heart and
Started to feed
I still remember when
I thought that all you were
Eating was my pride

[Chorus]
[I KNOW NOW!]
It's all been a lie
And I'll never come to know why
Awoke to discover
You leaving me now
It's all been a lie
I don't ever want to know,
Why
You've mastered the art of
Deceiving me now

[Bridge]
This Idiot won't let me go
Slowly Penetrating the mind
I tell you now, my little puppet
You'll suffer me
You don't want to let me go
Untill I've taken over your life
I'll ensure you survive
Little puppet don't die
Let me, let me die
Little puppet don't die
Let me, let me die
Little toy don't die

[Chorus]

Dark indeed, Shadow. Dark and delicious. Oh man, this is amazing. For a start you have two of my very favourite moments - the cemetery scene (rattled Mick... :melts: :melts: :melts: :melts: ), and the little smile Mick gives Coraline before he turns, picks up the chair and throws it through the window. Passion incarnate.

I also loved the action-Mick shots that weren't directly related to Coraline (e.g. the Tejada scene) because they are all part of the dark side of Mick that was engendered by Coraline and their relationship.

With the fast cutting, the wonderful use of black and white, oh just everything about this is sublime.

Absolutely awesome vid, Shadow. :clapping:

First of all, I absolutely adore Disturbed so this was fantastic for me to see it put to vid in this way.

Great choice of scenes, excellent editing (as always). Just fabulous.

*off to watch again*

Thanks so much Red!
It's wonderful that the only two long scenes in the vid featured a couple of your favorite moments .... they're great favorites of mine too. It was good fortune for me that they fit the music so well.
It's really good to know you liked the black & white; I wanted to give this one quite a different look with the effects.
And I'm glad you like the dark side ....

It was really a blast doing a vid to DIsturbed .... Especially since it's just a tad outside of my usual range of vid music!
Thanks so much ... and thanks for coming by the new blogspot! I'm always a bit challenged by setting up things like that; it's good to know that it worked. :snicker:

YouTube has this message when I click on the link:

This video contains content from WMG, who has decided to block it.

Sorry about that - I guess they should have said "blocked now in most countries, including your own!" Wish they'd give a bit more information. YT still lets me play it, which is kind of odd.

Here's a different link - it plays pretty well on MyVideo, hope this will work for everyone....they don't mention blocking it anywhere ....

Hey wollstonecraft - Thanks so much, and I'm really glad to know you could see it!

Sorry for the long download, Phoenix - this video seems to be a problem child everywhere.... ;)

Oh, man, Shadow... your vids are always spectacular but this one has an almost physical effect. The use of black and white, the fast cuts, the violence of the scenes, the grittiness of the song, and the perfectly angry, betrayed lyrics... a dark video, indeed. But very, very good. Dark, dark, angry Mick at his most Alpha Male... I love to watch him from a distance, but I sure wouldn't want to run into him in a dark alley! :gasp:

Thank you for helping us view this video!

My :beep: computer refused to play the vid. :banghead:

However ... the German link worked. :hyper2:

Wow, Shadow. That was dark - but brilliant. I suspect that a relationship like Coraline & Mick's is more fun to watch than to be involved in.
