Can by for another reread and this is fabulous.
Of course Mick would know immediately if Beth were unfaithful or deceptive!
The poor girl can't even get away with a little white lie without him knowing, so there is absolutely no chance here.
Glad Mick decided to man up and take responsibility.
Thank you!

So, from this lovely little gem, arose GA's "Changing the Rules"???? Well, that's another reason to love it. From your wonderful descriptions of the "joys" of pregnancy to your exploration of Mick's fears and Beth's response to them, I love this story like chocolate.
I'd love to know what the baby looked like...

Shame, shame, shame on me for not responding to comments on this fic.
Thanks, maggatha!
Alle, one of the reasons I'm proud of this story is that it inspired Changing the Rules, a fic I fell in love with from the first few words GuardianAngel sent to me. I'm honored she lets me be a part of it - I just love the whole premise.
Thanks for stopping back by.

Thanks, PGal. This is a nice happy story, and sometimes that's just what the doctor ordered.

Been trying to think of a good description of what really good fanfic is like to me and Alle just nailed it.
It's like chocolate, and a good, creasy cheesecake with fresh fruit without all the fat, sugar and empty calories.
Fabulous!
Thank you!

Re: Another Six Months - PG-13
This is such a sweet story. I do understand Mick, this has to be terrifying to him. I have no doubt there are little side effects to the cure such as this. I've thought a lot about the cure the past few years and while it does only mask vampirism meaning that you will always eventually turn back there has to be something more to it. If it was just a "shield" they wouldn't be susceptible to human frailty. Coraline wouldn't have needed hospitalization. Mick wouldn't have been in pain from his beatings he would have just had the outward bruises not the internal injury. I have no doubt that sperm is reactivated, Coraline may have had her period too. I think "the cure" is a great way for a vampire to parent and I think the child will be completely human. A female vampire it would be risky, since she couldn't guarantee she would have nine months before she turned back I'm not sure they could carry a baby to term.

Re: Another Six Months - PG-13
That's a fascinating analysis, Carol, and one I agree with. I think the cure did more than just mask vampire characteristics, and I think something like this would prove it.
I especially liked the last part re: female vampires and being able to carry a baby to term.
Thanks for stopping by for a reread.
