I've always been curious why Josef was so impressed with Lola's 500 years when he's 400. Makes you wonder how many vamps make it beyond the first century.

I'm not sure that's all it was. I think there was more to it than that - and not just their once a decade booty call.cassysj wrote:I've always been curious why Josef was so impressed with Lola's 500 years when he's 400. Makes you wonder how many vamps make it beyond the first century.

Lordy, I do love this episode.
And I never noticed before how they physically made Beth different with Josh and with Mick. With Josh, she looks wholesome. With Mick...not so much.

I guess they each just have that effect on her. The contrast is striking, though, as you mention.

This is probably my favorite episode - they got SO much right in it. GREAT dialogue, hot scenes, good story...

Re: B.C. (Episode Six) Part II
Wow.
After all the times I have seen B.C., and yes, I have watched it once or twice before, it is still so fresh and fabulous.
There is so much about it that is just so over the top great (IMHO)--everyone looks so wonderful: Mick, Beth, Josh, Lola, Josef; the pacing is interesting; the writing and dialogue sizzle; the lighting--and special effects are toned down and I think that works even better.
Until I read it upthread, it never struck me that Beth really is visually different with Josh and with Mick. She is scrubbed and wholesome around Josh, and glamorous and sexy with Mick. You are absolutely right!
The scene when Josef pounds on the top of Mick's freezer was laugh out loud funny! 'And you think she's in here?'
The Mick/Josef chemistry was amazing. They paired two personalities that played off each other perfectly.

Mick and Beth--two of the lovely faces of Moonlight
