Sophia Myles as Irina
From Moonlight to Twilight, Sophia Myles has been suggested by MTV as a possible choice for vampire Irina. Any good Twilighter knows that Irina is a Denali sister whose actions will impact the future movies. A YouTube video casts beauty Sophia Myles as Irina — a choice that would greatly please Edi Gathegi who plays Laurent. "She's a good choice. I could be happy with that," he said of the 28-year-old Brit. "I like her work. ... Now I'm not going to be able to get her out of my mind for that character."

OMG--that would make my month! Love the Twilight universe and I don't care who knows it or likes it.

She would be perfect.
Keeping fingers crossed.

This would be excellent exposure for her...she's well known to us, but not so much to others that she wouldn't fit in with the other wonderful actors....I'd love for her to have the Twilight movies in her resume'.

LOL I'd love to see Sophia in any Twilight movie, but I would imagine she would want to distance from vampire stuff.

I agree with you!

I'm so glad she's working again, but no more vampire character. Please! She needs new opportunities, she can make different roles. I think. :rose:

It's not a large role--and the exposure would be great for her.
Plus, in the Twilight world--they don't look like your average vamps.

Still hoping she will be in it!

Thanks tecc. I believe you can love ML and Twilight! 2 different beasts.

The amount of exposure that she would get from a role in such a widely anticipated movie, would only help her career and her future job opportunities.

Agree with you both on all counts. I'm really hoping Sophia will consider doing this one. She's fabulous and with her creative muse in full force, she CAN handle it, truly. She's a fabulous thespian. I haven't gotten into Twilight yet. I've ordered the film and have the books. I plan to become a bit more aggressive and get into reading the books, soon.

You can love all types of vampire films, books etc. I agree with you both. I'll be joining you both, soon. Thanks so very much lynnrxgal for the info. and the link! :D
