Handling Things - PG

Post by PNWgal »

And another...

You think that’ll work?

That’s right…shake your head. You know a parasite like Foster won’t be bought off.

You knew exactly what you were doing when you called me. You know how vampires protect their own, you know what vengeance I’m going to exact on that waste of humanity.

You’re not the only one that would do anything, sacrifice anything to save Mick. He belongs to me in a way you will never know or understand as long as you remain human.

You’re a vampire already, Turner…you just haven’t given up your mortal coil.

There's a price to be paid for my help, Beth. I hope you're able to ante up when the times comes.

Then you know how I’m gonna handle it…

More likely, particularly the protective of Mick part, what he WAS thinking than what he drifted-off into in The Proposal... but is it wrong that I like his little demented day dream in that one so much?

There is so much here. Josef hints at so much with just these few words. Trust, loyalty, the sire bond, history, and just a hint of homo-eroticism. Or was that me?

Lovely, girlfriend. Such a lovely lead-in to The Proposal.

Oh no, SBJ...not just you. I think there's a much deeper bond between Mick and Josef that Beth will NEVER understand as long as she remains human.

Thanks, my friend. :-)

Chilling.

Beth took a big step into the vampire world when she went to Josef here.

Very well done

Thanks, jen. :smooch: I wonder if Beth realized exactly what she did when she went to Josef...and I so don't see him not holding this over her. :teeth:

Nah--he'll hold it over her, all right. I'm not sure the payment will be immediate, or physical... but it'll definitely come due. :confused2:

Pretty sure I've commented on this one elsewhere, but wanted to say again how much I love it. Very important moment in the story arch. Wish so much we could have seen the long term consequences of this moment.

Thanks, Ranger! I would have loved to see this run its course...but if you want a really good glimpse of what might have been, go check out darkstarrising's challenge fic The Crucible.
