Rereading this gem is like having a brief conversation with an old friend.

It touches briefly on two concepts at the core of Moonlight:

Beth and Josh were drifting apart. Nothing major yet, but the tide had shifted and was clearly on the way out and it didn't bother her.

Her enchantment with Mick and the cool protectiveness of the night was growing to match her waning attraction to Josh.
