So I was browsing Jason's IMDb page -- as I do -- and I found a new entry.

He's listed for 3 episodes of the upcoming CW series The Messengers. It says he'll be playing Jeff Fairburn in episodes 8, 12 and 13.

Here's the synopsis for the show:

A mysterious object crashes on earth and a group of unconnected strangers die from an energy pulse it emits, but then re-awaken to find out that they have been deemed responsible for preventing the impending Apocalypse.

Jason talks about The Messengers, and also Veronica Mars, as well has his Hallmark movie.

He's just so darned SWEET.

Okay, I totally said "awwwww"! He really is such a darling guy. And he's looking so good!

So, the series stared airing last Friday. I'll confess I haven't seen it yet, but plan to watch it, so I'll know what's going on before Jason's episodes come up.

I finally started watching this, and it's not bad. (Granted, the Winchester brothers on Supernatural have covered very much this same territory.)

And in the first couple of episodes, I found two Moonlight connections! The main characters visit a bar, and especially since it's a Warner Brothers production, I'm pretty sure the bar exterior is the same building used for Tejada's bar in LLF. (It was also Merlotte's in True Blood.)

Also, one of the recurring cast members is Navid Negahban, or as all avid ML fans know him, Amir Fayed from Fever.

Can you give us the one paragraph description of "The Messengers" since Jason's episode is on tomorrow night?

Sure.

Basically, a meteor hits in the Southwest desert, and there's a power wave that kills a few people (five, I believe) but they revive quickly. They have been transformed into angels, and are tasked with stopping Lucifer (who was inside the meteor) from starting the Apocalyse. So this unusual band of people, who have very little in common, have to work together for the greater good, while no one else knows what they are doing. And their enemy is very clever. Fortunately, they have each been given a special power to help them.

And that's where we are.
