Susie, if I ever get to Virginia I'd love to take you AND your friend to lunch. You, and he through you, have given me so much better an understanding of the story than I'd have had otherwise. It's really fascinating, scary, and troubling in real life, but in the context of the story, it gives me a much better capacity to appreciate the episode.
:thanks:   :rose:

:snicker: Yeeeaaaahhhhh...eyes were on the bread plugs! Mine too MLC, but I did eventually catch the peek on about the 4th viewing. ;)

Ahem... On which number of viewings DID you notice the actual bread plugs???? :evillaugh:
Oh I was just playing along Sister Hon. :snicker: I still haven't seen any bread in that scene!

I loved watching my husband's face when he saw that scene--he was so sickened!! It wasn't so bad the second time around for me. But Mr. Fleur was looking a little green around the gills!

I did go ewwww, but when I described this to a friend, he mentioned using wadded up bread and pushing it through pipes was a trick that plumbers used. But even he went ewww when I described how Vincent had used the bread...

:giggle:
It didn't gross me out either. At that point I was so focused on Alex's face and eyes (he did a great job showing Vincent's pain) that the bread use didn't matter. The whole scene hit me like a ton of bricks :hankie:

So Mr. Fleur finally gave in to the inevitable. :woohoo:

And I, too, went ewwwwwwwww.

Yeah, that scene really showed the lengths he would go to in order to keep Stan's bday promise.
Nothing was going to stop him from getting to that boy. There was a heart beating under all that pain and messed-up mind.

He really did have no choice in the matter. And he had no choice in telling me that he liked Alex's performance. We watched a few minutes of TMC before this aired and it was strange going from Mick to Vincent in the span of a minute. Mr. Fleur was quite surprised at the change in Alex'slooks for the CM role.

He is such a patient man!

And yes, dc: I am feeling even more confident of Three Rivers pick-up. Anyone with half a brain can see this man's talent in full force in the CM ep.

Deepest thanks, Susie, to your friend and to you for bringing that wonderful insight to us!! I really enjoyed hearing his perspective..and, you are so correct, it must take an extremely special individual to deal with real-life cases like Vincent's every single day. I know that I couldn't do it!!

And, count me in on that lunch..if I ever get to Richmond, you and and he are both going out on my tab...

Thank you!! :thanks:

Susan... YOU and your friend are too cool!!!!

And Mr. Fleur... Honey, YOU are so cooked! If 3R gets the pick up, it's gonna be your favorite new show... or else...

[Cheers] to Alex O'Loughlin for his chilling--and moving--turn as a serial killer on Criminal Minds. The ex-Moonlight bloodsucker actually made Vincent, a Buffalo videographer who wrestles with his obsessively murderous impulses and bonds with a young blind boy, a sympathetic character. If CBS doesn't pick up O'Loughlin's fall pilot, Three Rivers, they're crazier than Vincent. This guy's a Simon Baker waiting to happen.

What did you think of O'Loughlin's return to TV?
