This story is worth a reread on Christmas season.

Thanks MLC - me, tooMickLifeCrisis wrote:I think this is my favorite Christmas fic. When she turns to look into the woods and whispers "Merry Christmas", yes - it still makes me a little teary!
thanks, woll - I think you've captured the charm of the story - pure, unconditional love is something only a child can give and something a lonely vamp was in desperate need of.wollstonecraft61 wrote:I have to comment on this story again. It is one of my favorites because of the simplicity of a child's love. This is a masterpiece.
thanks, Jenna Of all the stories I've written, this one has a special place in my heart because it's seen through the eyes of the child Beth. Here, she is gradually returning to some semblance of normalcy after her abduction and return. In her own simple way, she gives the only gift to her angel she can, one which touches his heart. What better way to return to childhood innocence and joy than through the magic of Christmas?jen wrote:Back for another reread.
What a delight this story is! For Beth, Christmas is a time of dreams and wonder. For Mick, dreams have been shattered and wonder sorely tried but there was a moment here when they connected. Beth shared a bit of wonder with her Guardian Angel, and her Christmas wish warmed his heart.
As we know, they have always been connected...
Thank you!
Jenna
