So many lovely comments, and they are all so appreciated. It's--I will admit--not easy to go "back in time" with Lucky, but it's great fun to challenge myself to do it on occasion. I had an experience in RL (sort of) recently where I found myself the newbie, and I realized that there was this gap in Josef and Freshie Lucky's story, so it seemed like a good time to address that.

I try to keep the stories listed in order on my index, francis, although I will admit that I'm not always right up to date on keeping the index in order. Hmm. I may do a special "Freshie Lucky index" in my office just in case!

I'm getting caught up on all my reading and was so excited when I saw your PM! I always love the backstories of Lucky and Josef. This one was excellent. I loved seeing the timid nature of Lucky in the beginning and, of course, Josef's classic quips ;)

Great story! :yahoo:

Love this larger look at the lifestyle of Josef's freshies, but especially getting to know Lucky a bit more. :flowers: I especially appreciate the index to Lucky stories so I'm reading them in order! :teeth:

Thanks so much...I think at this point you can almost read the series as a (very disjointed) novel. While the stories were not written in chronological order, I'm hoping it makes sense to read them that way!

Just lovely, Lucky.

She is unsure, but will be beautifully taken care of!

This was a fascinating read! Imagine how nervous Lucky would be, not only moving into a new place, but moving into THE vampire's home.

Nicely done! :rose:

you really are a great writer, Lucky. Your prose is always so elegant. In this fic, in a way Lucky and the reader were in the same situation, not knowing what was going to happen and while I'm I'm not a fan of the freshie lifestyle, it was fascinating to take a peek behind the closed doors of the 'life'.

Move -in Day, typical for all. Josef did his best and it didn't quite work for Lucky, but he is such a smooth operator, isn't he? That was... :melts: oh, well, that was quite the welcome!!
