This fabulous short story is sad, yes--Beth carries the child of the man she loved and lost--but also hopeful, loving and filled with promise as Mick is willingly taking on this responsibility. Beth will not have to go through this alone.

Josh's child will be loved, and will have wonderful parents to guide and care for him or her.

Thank you!

This is exquisite. :notworthy: You included so many subtle hints throughout the story. Very little is said, but what is said is powerful. I especially like Mick's last comment. :happysigh:

Well done, MoonShadow! :flowers:

Beth is in such anguish. She feels so alone in this situation, believing Mick will react differently but what she though was a catastrophe turns out to be a wonderful gift. This situation, so tragic in a sense, gives Mick what he always wanted--family again.

This short story is a joy, but it makes me sad in all the potential that might have been but was cut short.

Thank you so much Moonshadow. This is absolutely exquisite (I know, I'm repeating myself. Well, it is!!!)

delightful comments and thank you everyone!

It makes me grin to think that I enjoy rereading this story as much as you do. What a wonderful show they gave us. What a wonderful group of actors.
