I'm so glad you're enjoying the limited virtual tour. I only scratched the surface with location photos. I thought I had taken so many while I was out there, but when I got home I realized I really hadn't taken as many as I should have. I'm hoping others who have been out scouting will have images to add.darkstarrising wrote: Lilly,
thanks so much for doing this. Having places to associate with what was seen in the episodes somehow makes it all seem just a bit more real.

And don't the two pics once again show how amazingly ML was lit?Lilly wrote:I added the City Morgue information to the first post.

WOW. The lighting really is noticeable there. What a difference.redwinter101 wrote:And don't the two pics once again show how amazingly ML was lit?Lilly wrote:I added the City Morgue information to the first post.

Thanks for doing this Lilly. This is probably as close as I'll ever get to LA.

This was particularly fascinating to me, as well, NightAir. In some places, such as the top of the parking garage from episode 2, even in broad daylight you felt like you were part of the Moonlight world. In other places, such as the fountain at the Pacific Design Center where they had moved the huge bowl-shaped planters into the center of the triangular fountain area where Kelly Foster's body was found, you really had to use your imagination.NightAir wrote:Thanks for doing this Lilly. My son and I hunted for the tree that Mick was standing in front of while he watched Beth. I knew there was a blue screen behind him, but we couldn't find anything with the right leaves. My guess is that they brought something in to fill the shot.

Oh my, I never realised just how much difference the lighting can make, but you can see it from that Morgue shot. Thank you Lilly, your tour is certainly proving to be very educational, for me anyway

Fabulous pictures, Silvana! We also have an entire thread dedicated to the Goldstein house: viewtopic.php?f=604&t=2575
I'm wondering if you would mind posting some of these there as well?

Re: ML Locations: Episode 1 - No Such Thing As Vampires
Here are some shots from Mountain View cemetery. I took these in April when MyImmortal came to visit. We traveled all over the place, Moonlight location touristing.
The funeral - note the mausoleum in the background.
My shot of the area where the canopy was erected:
Mick under the tree, next to a rock (it's a monument with a plaque).
My shot of the rock and the tree, from a different angle. They shot that scene from a very weird spot! They must have used a very long lens.
After the funeral broke up, as everyone left, there was a wide shot:
And Mick and Beth started walking to their cars. (See the two mausoleums in the background?)
My wide shot that shows Mick's rock, the funeral location, and the mausoleum in the background. If you notice, there's a headstone with bushes on either side. That headstone is in the foreground of the Moonlight scenes with Mick standing by the rock. (See what I meant about a weird angle?)
Beth follows Mick to his car. Across the street is another mausoleum, with pillars.
My shot of the same mausoleum:

The last two shot left me with an oddly haunted feeling. Moonlight, it was there and then it wasn't.
