The little girl stood shivering in her white gown. I held her close, running my fingers through her hair soothingly. She was scared, which w-as fine. I'd had her leave the teddy back in her room so she could focus. Tonight was special, I wanted her to remember each piece of it.
And then there were three.
I look to our guest, smiling into those warm brown eyes, framed by waves of chocolate. The absolute horror, the shock in those eyes cuts into me, but its only a matter of time. We can have a family. We'll be happy, the three of us. Together forever. Just like I'd promised, like we'd wanted.
