I just had a Image moment. After whining about it for years (and getting some tips from folks here :ghug: ), I just realized that this episode is available on iTunes.

Link: http://itunes.apple.com/us/tv-season/th ... =284591683

I swear it wasn't there when I looked before  , but maybe I somehow missed it. :blushing:

Anyway, I'm FINALLY going to watch it...

eek! Sorry I hadn't mentioned I bought it on iTunes, Lilly!

Sophia simply could not be more lovely than she is in that episode.

It is such a wonderful episode. So VERY Moonlightish, in so many ways, I think. And just amazingly romantic, while remaining very true to the Dr. Who feel. I loved it. Sooooo much. :hearts:

Possibly my favorite moment?
Spoiler:
The Doctor riding that white horse through the mirror! Swoon!

Ooooh, yes! :melts:

But...
Spoiler:
that final letter? I needed a whole box of tissues, I swear... and I wanted to kick the Doctor for leaving the fireplace. He should have KNOWN what would happen. I was screaming, "NO, DON'T LEAVE!!!" but did he listen? No! Idiot.

I've now watched my very first -- and probably last -- episode of Doctor Who. I mean, what's the point after that? Everything else will pale by comparison.

She was just luminous.

I have a friend who's far more of a "Whovian"...and she says that episode was sort of a microcosm of the season. It touched on all the themes of the season, a major one of which was leaving Companions behind...
Spoiler:
And yes, the Doctor was an idiot. Madame de Pompadour should have gone down in history as an enigma...a woman who, at the height of her power and beauty, simply vanished into thin air!

It's also available on Amazon with an instant view for $1.99. It was really very enjoyable and sad. I hadn't seen a full episode of Dr. Who before.

I just watched the episode and it was so sad, this is why the girl should never wait in the car. :snicker:

Sophia was just wonderful in it and while I'm not a Doctor Who fan I enjoyed it very much.

Sophia recently participated in a "tweetalong" group watch of this beautiful episode, tweeting along with showrunners/writers Stephen Moffat and Russel Davies, and of course, fans. It was tons of fun, and very interesting to read tweets from the writers and also Sophia. As a special treat, Moffat wrote a short sequel that was shared after the episode finished. Narrated by Sophia and illustrated with pictures and video snippets, this little video shed some light on what happened after the Doctor and Reinette met for the last time. If you enjoyed the episode, I highly recommend that you watch this short video.
And bring a box of tissues. :hankie:

Thank you for posting this. Yes that one Dr. Who episode was wonderful.

I was just on youtube and listening to some of the Moonlight soundtrack. A piece of music was posted from about 12 years ago. It made me a little sad thinking that so many people discovered Moonlight too late. And yes I still miss Moonlight very much and appreciate your having a home for us fans.

Sorry to be on a little bit of a downer here but when I see that it was VAsusieQ18 who started this thread and that some of the other people who posted aren't with us on this Earth anymore, it makes me very sad.
