I love this one--you can see his shock, but also you can see his mind is racing, despite the fact that all seems lost...

400 years will make a mans mind sharp with that boyish face you just wanna squeeze the cheeks of.

I know, he's such a wonderful dichotomy, isn't he?! So young and yet so old.

That is what makes Josef so special. I'm so glad TPTB changed him form the older Josef to our now beloved young Josef.allegrita wrote:I know, he's such a wonderful dichotomy, isn't he?! So young and yet so old.
It makes him so much more complex. A walking contradiction to what we see and what he truly is...dangerous.

And the thing is, Jason did such a wonderful job, young as he was, of suggesting the age, the wisdom, and the experience lurking below the surface.
Even now, I am totally still in love with Josef....

Re: Think Kostan #5
I don't have a picture of just Josef from the pilot, but in this cast photo, he is shown to be more of a man in the background, someone who mentors Mick but stays out of the spotlight.
So different from our Josef, who lives in the public eye, and revels in it. Far from old leather and cut crystal and rich, dark wood paneling, our Josef lives in a very modern environment, with the latest technology at his fingertips.
I'm so glad they recast the show, especially the role of Josef.

Looking at that picture, what strikes me (veering wildly off topic) is what the HELL were they thinking putting (original) Coraline in that hideous dress? It's not in the least bit flattering or sexy. Oh, look, it's your vampire old maid aunt.
