Agreed.

Beth looked like she totally felt like the outsider, sensing all the history between them and very much aware of her recent actions in nearly killing Coraline while she was on the cure.

She had a lot to feel uncomfortable over.

Loved Coraline's line about Beth starting to like her--she didn't stab her this time.

We are so not in synch! :rolling:

That would be "bats". :teeth:

And I love the French Revolution thing. I know it's impossible to justify historically speaking, but it's amazing...

I love that line.

Ah, he is questioning about the gift prat.

But he so has him under her spell. He really still is affected by her.

Because of this episode, for the remainder of my life, when I read or hear of the French revolution, I will think of vampires.

This whole concept of King Louis being a vamp is what completely sucked me into the ML world. I was/am completely intrigued by how it opens up a whole history to new interpretation. The vamp stuff was okay up to this point (for me anyway)... I liked the modern twist, but it was mostly the Mick/Beth relationship that kept me coming back every week. After this, I just wanted more plot following up on the whole French history storyline/the Cure/Lance/Big Bad Guy who Terrifies Cora.

That fight scene. Wow! Did you notice how Lance just looks like, "what is this guy, joking" when Mick is hitting him with the steel pipe?

Oh! human Mick!

Oh, I love (hate) the fight. Coraline is so beautiful when she gives up her life for Mick's. And Mick, so damaged... poor guy.

I really like the camera work and Shannyn's acting in this scene where she's kneeling. She's so stoic as Lance condemns her.

The interaction between Coraline and Lance is really charged.

Aren't those transitions just fantastic? They are so well done.

Totally. This whole part that depicts the night, and the dawn, is just so wonderful.
