Interesting to read how Anna Reeves researched and developed this film that turned out so delightfully.

Amazing what you find when you're hunting around YouTube - I hadn't seen this before: the theatrical trailer for Oyster Farmer:

The trailer is actually on my DVD version of the movie, which coincidentally I watched again this week...
What? There's been NO new Alex for months now...
Ya know... the hottest chemistry was actually between Alex and Kerry Armstrong. She's just smoldering anyway and he... well he is too.
But I love the movie... I love seeing him BE Aussie. He makes a good Aussie. For some reason.

YES, his chemistry with Kerry was on fire! That is one of the best scenes in the movie...where she doctors him up.

There were two things that captivated me about this movie - the cinematography was phenomenal and it was the first time I'd heard Alex play a role as an Aussie....love hearing that voice, regardless of the accent.

I just happened on this on YouTube... an interview with a very young, very Aussie, very adorable Alex, about Jack Flange's personality, and the making of Oyster Farmer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-HS-jzxFoQ&NR=1

It's amazing what you can find here if you poke around a bit. Some kind soul had posted this interview in the Media Links forum but I'd never seen it before. Jack Thompson and Alex interviewed about Oyster Farmer. Totally adorable. And don't you just love the clip they chose for primetime?

These are beautiful, Red,
I have always loved going across the Hawkesbury River.
Now, I can't do the train trip without thinking of my favourite oyster farmer!
I've got some pics for you all.
First off is one of the rail bridge
Next are the road bridges.
And next are ones that I took this year on a train trip to Sydney.
I apologise in advance for the scratches on the windows.
I didn't do them.... Honest!
