IMDb has a popularity ranking known as STARmeter. It's really just a measure of the "buzz" surrounding a personality or a project.

IMDb's description is:

STARmeter rankings provide a snapshot of who's popular based on the searches of millions of IMDb users. Updated weekly, these rankings also graph the popularity of people over time and determine which events affect public awareness.


This week, Jason's STARmeter has hit an all time "high"! (Actually, the lower the number the better the score.)

It seems the "Lie to Me" guest spot has really got folks searching his info. As they say: The buzz is good!

I was impressed with him on Lie to Me. I really miss his Jason's snark. I was one of those who hit him on imdb. i wanted to see if he had anything else in the hopper.

Just thought I'd put up an update...

Since the all-time high of 535 the week of June 13, Jason's STARmeter returned closer to its previous levels. The last two weeks have shown an increase again, however, which I can only attribute to the re-airing of his CSI and Lie to Me episodes. I'm certanily no expert, but this increased attention just HAS to be a good thing.
