Carol, I love all of yours but my favourite is the thought of Guillermo having his own funeral parlour. For some reason that just makes me grin from ear to ear.

Just after 9am on the West Coast. Wonder what Beth's up to? I never really had a clear idea how they intended to take her job forward in season two - did she continue working for Talbot?

And four years later is she still?

I reckon she's off hunting down some super-secret scoop for a case Mick's working on.

I never felt clear about ANYTHING they intended for season 2... which if course is the root of the whole no-season-2 problem right there.

But judging from Vampire Diaries, wherein the producer couple got to act out their vamp world fantasies, the show woulda gotten way more complicated, with the promised werewolves, hunters, battles, and Beth as the fearless yet vulnerable vamp groupy/ potential pawn. Mick woulda continued to rock but be angsty. Josef woulda taken a leadership role, sans angst, tho he and Mick woulda conflicted over... things.

Juuuuuuust applying VD theory.

Unless we got another whole new set of show runners, and then it's anyone's guess.

I love all of these... and it got me thinking about what might be going through Mick's mind today...



Four Years

It's been four years since we met... or met again, whatever. Four years of stopping and starting, reaching out and pushing away. Four years of meeting up under the weirdest circumstances - in the morgue, at a crime scene, at a trendy hot spot. We come from different directions and we end up in the same place.

I think the universe has been shouting in my ear for a long time. And it's time I did something about it.

So tonight, I've invited her to have dinner with me at Arbor Bistro. And after dinner, we're gonna go back to that fountain. It's got red lights now instead of blue, but it's still beautiful at night. And the water's still freezing cold at three in the morning. Beth doesn't seem to mind the cold much, though. She's gotten used to frosty wake-ups in the past few years.

Josef's arranged for the night guard to have something very important to investigate on the other side of the Pacific Design Center, right around the time Beth and I are due to arrive, so we won't have anybody bugging us when we take off our shoes and go wading. And when she's ankle deep in that cold water, that's when I'm gonna pull out the ring. I hope I don't drop it.

I hope she says yes. I'm pretty sure she will. Because she's always been the one who could see the path through all the obstacles that separate us. She's been the one lighting my way through the night for a long, long time.

I'm afraid I'm not very creative.

Having spent the last 18 months or so following Lilith's two books Newborn and Blood of the Lily, I now see her vision of what would have happened since she followed the canon so exactly. I must say I really miss getting a new chapter every week but am enjoying her original story Three Night Stand.

In case anyone wants to read them, I won't tell you details other than to say that everyone we care about should be happy... for now...

(Subtle hint that I hope she does go on to continue the story someday. )

He's been rewarding her daily since then. Sometimes multiple times a day. Beth finds herself very tired and limps around with a vacant, albeit blissful, expression on her face.

Mick continues to run his PI business from home and when Beth isn't blogging on her popular and profitable website devoted to tips and products for the sexually adventurous, she assists him with a case or 2. Mick assists her with research for the website.
