Harry Werksman - Showrunner

Post by allegrita »

I think it says a lot about Moonlight fans' mixed feelings about Harry Werksman that he didn't have a thread here at MLA. :chin: However, for good or ill, he was an important part of the show.

He was recently interviewed by a blog called Trainwreck'd Society about his writing career, and he mentioned Moonlight. I learned quite a few things about him--did you know he went to grad school at Oxford?? Or that the first script he sold was for Deep Space 9?? Or that he worked on the first few seasons of Grey's Anatomy?? :gasp:

Anyway, I thought people might be interested in reading the interview, so here it is. https://trainwreckdsociety.com/2019/03/ ... interview/

I remember recognizing his name from Star Trek. Marvin Rush (director of photography) and an SFX person (Dan Curry, I think) also came from Star Trek to Moonlight. It think it explains why there were a couple Star Trek Easter eggs in Moonlight. :chin:
