Moonlight Locations: B.C.

For remaining episodes, I will only be listing locations we haven’t seen before.

Updated 4/9/2010: Added new pictures of Club Valis entrance

1. Photo ShootLighting fixture section, Property Department , Warner Bros. Studios, Burbank, CA

Talk about re-purposing! For Renee Beresford’s modeling gig, they just went over to the property building and set up shop in the lighting fixture area. Some of the chandeliers were lowered and some dramatic standing fixtures were moved in to make a very effective backdrop for the high fashion photo shoot.

2. Club Valis - exterior - NY Street, backlot, Warner Bros. Studios, Burbank, CA

This one is hard to spot because we don’t have a clear picture of the entrance to the club. It’s located in a small alley on the left of the picture near the “parking” sign. Credit goes to MyImmortal on this one.

5. City Morgue - Linda Vista Hospital film location, Boyle Heights area, 610 S. St. Louis Street, Los Angeles, CA -- Link: Website, Link: Wikipedia

Even though this location has already been covered, the angle of the shot here was too good to overlook…

6. Warehouse interior, confrontation with Lola

7. Warehouse exterior - south side of The Mill, Warner Bros. Studios, Burbank, CA

The warehouse exteriors were shot looking west on the south side of the Mill building at WB. This is the same location used for Lee Jay’s hideout in Epidode 2: Out of the Past.

Another wonderful stop on the tour, Lilly. :flowers:

The lighting department shots are amazing - they were indeed an ingenious bunch.

You know, I stood in that very spot in April and never realized they had used it for the B.C. photo shoot. I didn't put the pieces together until I was perusing the WB website last week. :slaphead:

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I would like to do the WB tour one day. It seems BC didn't have any outside location shoots.

It's possible that it didn't, helloeeze. We don't know about the interior of Club Valis. It was either created on a soundstage or it could have been a location outside of the studio. Fielder's choice. :snicker:

Lilly,

thanks for tracking all of this down...I have to admit, using the prop department was pretty clever...

Thanks, Alle -- sometimes the light just comes on, you know? :bulb:

You're welcome, dsr -- I'm having a blast doing this. I just wish I didn't live on the wrong coast. :mdrama:

It's amazing how that plain little dark alley became a vibrant night club! I imagined it much bigger.

Well, the alley was just the entrance area where the line formed for people awaiting admittance to the club. The use of neon lights and decorative panels really did transform the dark area, though.

Again, thankyou Lilly for posting these. It just makes you realise how clever they are.
