This was one of the first fics I read on this Board, and it sums up Sonata beautifully for me.

By no means does it put a period at the end of the sentence or wrap up Moonlight with a pink ribbon, but it gives us the connection we longed to see. Equal parts prose and poetry, this is Moonlight at its finest and one of the most wonderful fanfics I have ever read.

This is not my first comment (far from it), nor is it likely to be my last, but Brava, Red.

This piece is absolutely lovely. The sensuality of the situation is so well portrayed. Mick's 'voice' was just as how I had always imagined it. A few of my favorite lines:

As your hands coil around my neck, warm fingers curling against me, stroking, I give up my fear. The fear I have held without knowing; the fear that if I let myself love, risk pain, invite hurt, I will be different. I will no longer be me.

I've known love before, each time new and different, but always accompanied by doubt. Here, as you watch me, for the first time I'm certain.

This is the end of fear, the end of regret, the end of alone.

Oh my goodness. No matter how many times I read this (and let's face it -- it's a lot!!) this always makes me tear up. Mick's just been alone so long and now they are finally connected body and soul. Still loving this so, so much!
