OMG, OMG! What a great thing for Jason--and it looks like it's going to be a lot of fun, too! This is wonderful news. I'm thrilled for him, and for us -- because we're gonna get to see it when it's done, yay!!! :yahoo:

It looks like the "independent film project" in question is Searching for Sonny, a comedy/mystery being shot in Fort Worth, TX:

Ft. Worth you say? :chin: Let's see, hop on the highway, 25 minutes or so, with traffic... hmm.... I always did like cowtown. :snicker:

(How has this not been on my local news?)

ETA: cool, they're filming this at Spinks. That's actually more Burleson than Ft. Worth. I wonder if JD's ever heard of Babe's - best place to eat in the world, and it's about eight miles from there.

They've updated IMDb to include Nick and Brian but not Jason and Minka yet : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1456939/

:chin: Well, if Nick is playing Calvin and Brian is playing Gary, then Jason must be Elliot. :snicker:

This is fantastic news and I cannot BELIEVE they are filming it here in Fort Worth!!!!!! :woohoo:

ETA: Spinks...yeah, that is in Burleson, hometown of Kelly Clarkson, btw. :thumbs: I've been to Babe's once, it was quite good and a very unique dining experience too. :ysmile:

From Lilly's link:

“Searching for Sonny” will be shot at the following well-known local sites:

* Trinity Valley School
* Historic Electric Building
* Ol’ South Pancake House
* Caravan Inn
* Spinks Airport

If they're gonna be filming at the Pancake house by TCU, they need to pop over to Joe T's, too. You can't go to that neck of the woods and not hit Joe T Garcia's. Not the best neighborhood, but... It's... like.... the ....law.

Maybe you should check out the main web site http://searchingforsonny.com/ or their facebook page. It looks like they want everyone to know what they're doing. Hey, you can even donate to it!

I've noticed that more of the action is on facebook or twitter. Links are on the main page.

They show a picture of everyone eating lunch. I can't see Jason.

On Facebook they say they are looking for extras. Anyone in that area should look into it.

Yeah, I'm almost 200 miles away, and ...I don't think anyone would take me for 28.
