Hmmm... well, if it had taken her head clean off, that MIGHT have killed her. Which woulda ruined the whole wedding night and he'd have turned into a moody, angsty night-prowler filled with regrets ever after. Hate Love it when that happens... :rolling:

I agree about the colouring in these promo shots. Beautiful.

In some of them, Mick's hair looks a little, um, rigid, but in this one (maybe it's the angle  ) they both look so beautiful - and so happy. :sigh:

Well, 50's hair was kinda stiff...

...but they did his hair better in these shots than they did the hair in the Hawaiian shirt scenes or the WWII scenes...
I wonder if they took these pics earlier, before his hair had grown out all the way. Cos I think some of the problem in the scenes in the show was that he had so much hair, they had trouble styling and disguising it for the past-eras.

That was quite the challenge for him... having him look appropriate to so many different decades, huh??
And yet, I wish we had seen him in the past even more... I LOVED the flashbacks to his past. :happysigh:

When I first saw that new wedding promo pic, my immediate thought was that he was offering her his neck...

Phoenix wrote:A loooong time ago, I wrote about Mick and Coraline's wedding. In the story, they had watercolor paintings done instead of having photos taken ... since Cora wouldn't have shown up in the pics.

This is something along the lines of what I envisioned.

Ok, we don't know much about Mick and Coraline's marriage.
Does anyone think Cynthia was jealous of C's love for Mick?

Does anyone have any theories of the good times, we catch fanfics of the bad times.

Perhaps they'll spawn some great M/C fanfic!

Ps I think Cynthia sabotaged the marriage regularly

Well she clearly had NO love at all for Mick.
And he seemed to return the favor.

Lucy, there are quite a lot of stories featuring Coraline's relationship with Cynthia. Off the top of my head, I can think of stories by eris (she has a trilogy that'll knock your socks off), Redwinter101, and me... and I know there are more.

I wrote three stories about the early months of Mick's and Coraline's marriage, beginning with their wedding day, if you're interested. (Pardon the shameless plug.) Here's a link to that bookshelf in my office:

I've read a bunch..-they got me thru 2 years of no ML

I was hoping to hook readers into talking about their theories....to capture a muse perhaps.

On thing this atmosphere is good for, loyal readers recommending their faves.

Somewhere out there is a fan who doesn't write who MIGHT have a glimmer of a new slant.

And if you can't shine a light on your own work....who can???

Lucy, I'm still trying to write a fic about Mick, Coraline, and the pool at the party house in 1953. (Grace, I swear to Bob it'll be finished one of these years days...)

The theories will have to wait until I have more time. (How dare RL intrude on ML time? :grumble: )
