Welcome to our lovely, wonderful world, BEM!!

I fell in love with Mick pretty much from the start. Oh wait, this is about Beth.

When he sat there looking broken, shamed yet still beautiful and proclaimed he was a vampire. I think Beth and I both fell head over heels. With him saving her, his beauty and then sharing his deepest, darkest secret, how could she not?

Beautifully put, Fleur, but I tend to agree with Kath. Mick's bloodstained confession to her at the end of OOTP, his vulnerability, pulled her in. But I believe it was thinking she'd lost him, and then sacrificing herself to save him, that caused a change in Beth that could never be undone. Maybe it was the blood he drank from her that joined their souls. And as Mick said himself, they had always been connected. But after she gave her blood to Mick, she was hideously uncomfortable when Josh kissed her wrist and said they made a good team. I felt terrible for both of them there... and then when Beth pressed her face against Mick's door? She knew he was there. And that look on her face was more than fascination. It might not have been full-on love, because there were still so many questions... but I believe it was the dawning of love.

The back-and-forth, push-pull game that Beth and Mick played had been going on for a while, and it went on for a while longer. Beth would push till Mick responded, and then she'd get spooked and back off. And of course, Coraline and Sarah threw a huge monkey wrench into the relationship. But I think the die was cast in Fever, and the realization that Mick was her guardian angel was a confirmation of something that had already occurred, or at least mostly occurred.

Okay, that was just about the prettiest explanation ever. Seriously.
That's just showing off.
