(Oops, had this in Simone's thread ... bad Eris.)
I knew I'd seen the actress who played Julia somewhere, but couldn't remember where until SyFy reran Invasion this week.

She had one of the lead roles -- Larkin, the new wife of the Game Ranger.
It was a GREAT show about an alien invasion in the wake of a massive hurricane. The ranger's ex-wife and her husband (the sheriff) had been body snatched by these glowing manta ray things that would kill people in the water and replace them with hybrids (who didn't know they were aliens at first).
The show ended on a KILLER cliffee where a very pregnant Larkin (Julia) had been fatally shot was carried out into the water by the sheriff because it was the only way he knew to save her life. Her hubby walked out onto the beach, asked the sheriff what he'd done, and it ended without an answer (though it was obvious).
The show's popularity exploded about the time that the cancellation notice came through... sound familiar?
She's actually a much better actress than ML gave her range to show, and had the series continued, I think we'd have gotten to see that.
