Cool! That DW episode is the one where I first saw Sophia. When I saw Fever, I remembered her from Doctor Who. She is STUNNING in the episode and she and David had great chemistry.

I love when
Spoiler:
he says "Wish me luck." and she goes, "No."
Awww!!

Does anyone know the details of the episode, like number and season, because I cannot find it by title and I would like to watch it

Hubby and I have been watching Dr. Who for the past few weeks. We started with Christopher Eccleston's Doctor (only one season) and are now in the first season of David Tennant. We watched Sophia's episode the other day and although I'd seen it before, it still brought a lump to my throat. There are MANY parallels to Moonlight in that episode. It shocked me to see how many there were. :hearts:

I only saw that episode once but Sophia really impressed me. At the time, I remember thinking that she should be one of his companions, but that was before the episode was over and I learned who she was historically.

It took me a couple of episodes to put it together whey she looked familiar. I had never seen Alex or any of the other in other performers in other roles but Sophia looked familiar--and this is why.

Apparently, more influential people than me were impressed with her talent and range.

I really need to find a way to see this. I don't have Netflix and have no plans to get it. Right now, though, it looks like the only other option is buying an entire season of Dr. Who.

So, I decided to find and watch "The Girl in the Fireplace," just because I decided I needed to see it. And it's almost a presage of Moonlight...an unaging guardian who first saves a little girl, and reappears in her life when she's grown. And the line that just killed me, was Sophia's, who proclaimed:

One may tolerate a world of demons, for the sake of an angel.

Madame de Pompadour may have said it, but, I think Beth would concur.

There is one tiny difference...

The Doctor let Madame de Pompadour down by never coming back for her. I can't imagine Mick would ever let Beth down.
