I've been away for a bit and WOW! Now that I've recovered from Vamp Mick, I just had to go back to GI Mick from WLB. Loved all the car pics! (They should be pictured in the dictionary under "dapper." ) A huge thank you to all the enablers!

All I can say is, MyMaximus, you have made some people around here very happy!!!!! Your name is well chosen. You are amazing.

One thing that caught my attention. The bars that Mick is wearing on his uniform--I recognize one as the Purple Heart, but I don't recognize the other one. It looks a little bit like the one for the Silver Star, but that one has only one red stripe in the center where this one has two. Does anybody know?

This may have been discussed already.

They didn't do their homework, though. He should have also had the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, since he fought in Europe: http://www.tioh.hqda.pentagon.mil/Awards/EAME.aspx
