Hello everybody! I've just found this fantastic thread and I HAD to share my experience!
Watching MickBeth vids on youtube, I 've found a really good one, very romantic.
I didn't know the song before, but now it's the first one that comes to my mind whenever I think about my fav couple!

It's "Bloodstream", by Stateless.

Here's the link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unwtyOTbLcU

Give it a try, you'll like it!

One Republic's "Stop and Stare" video was filmed at No-Star Motel Hell! :hearts:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtNS1afUOnE

And it's amazingly Mickish, to boot.

Stop & Stare
One Republic

This town is colder now, I think it's sick of us
It's time to make our move, I'm shaking off the rust
I've got my heart set on anywhere but here
I'm staring down myself, counting up the years
Steady hands, just take the wheel...
And every glance is killing me
Time to make one last appeal... for the life I lead

Stop and stare
I think I'm moving but I go nowhere
Yeah I know that everyone gets scared
But I've become what I can't be, oh
Stop and stare
You start to wonder why you're here not there
And you'd give anything to get what's fair
But fair ain't what you really need
Oh, can you see what I see

They're trying to come back, all my senses push
Untie the weight bags, I never thought I could...
Steady feet, don't fail me now
Gonna run till you can't walk
Something pulls my focus out
And I'm standing down...

Stop and stare
I think I'm moving but I go nowhere
Yeah I know that everyone gets scared
But I've become what I can't be, oh
Stop and stare
You start to wonder why you're here not there
And you'd give anything to get what's fair
But fair ain't what you really need
Oh, you don't need

What you need, what you need...

Stop and stare
I think I'm moving but I go nowhere
Yeah I know that everyone gets scared
But I've become what I can't be
Oh, do you see what I see...

I had seen this thread before and never had anything to contribute to it, and never thought I would...but the other day I had my mp3 player on random and listened to Modest Mouse's "Night on the Sun" (which I hadn't listened to in a long time) and almost laughed out loud (I made the relevant parts of the lyrics blood red):

So, turn off the light 'cause it's night on the sun
You're hopelessly hopeless
I hope so, for you
Freeze your blood and then stab it into in two
Stab your blood into me and blend
I eat my own blood and get filled I get filled up;
I get filled up on me and end so turn off the light
'cause it's night on the sun you're hopelessly hopeless
I hope so, for you
Turn off the light 'cause it's night on the sun
You're hopelessly hopeless
I hope so, for you
Freeze your blood and then stab it into in two
Stab your blood into me and end
I eat my own blood and get filled up I get filled up
I get filled up on me and end
Freeze your blood and then stab it into me
Freeze your blood and then stab it into me
Freeze your blood and then stab it in two into stab your blood into me and end
Turn off the light 'cause it's night on the sun
You're hopelessly hopeless
I hope so, for you

Well there's one thing to know about this town
It's five hundred miles underground; it's alright, It's alright,
Well there's one thing to know about this globe
It's bound and it's willing to explode. it's alright, it's alright, it's alright,it's alright.
Well there's one thing to know about this town
Not a person doesn't want me underground that's alright,that's alright, that's alright
There's one thing to know about this town
It's five hundred miles underground; and that's ok, that's alright' that's alright.
There's one thing to know about this earth
We're put here just to make more dirt; and that's ok, that's alright, that's alright.
Well there's one thing to know about this globe
It's bound and it's willing to explode; and that's ok, that's alright, that's alright.
Well there's one thing to know about this town
It's five hundred miles underground; it's alright, It's alright

Here's a new song by James Blunt that struck me as a song for Mick- in a future where he's left Beth because he would not turn her. :hankie: Hmm.

Music here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gr3S1UhFESE

Lyrics:

When you wake up
Turn the radio on
Now hear this simple song

That I made up
That I made up for you

When you're driving
Turn the radio up
Cause I can't sing loud enough
All these days
To get my message through

If time is all I had,
I'd waste it all on you.
Each day I'll turn it back.

It's what the broken hearted-do.
I'm tired of talking to an empty space.
Of silences keeping me awake.

When you marry and you look around
I'll be somewhere in that crowd,
Torn up that it isn't me.
When you're older and the memories fade,
I know I'll still feel the same, yeah
For as long as I live.

And if time is all I had,
I'd waste it all on you.
Each day I'll turn it back.
It's what the broken hearted-do.
I'm tired of talking to an empty space.
Of silences keeping me awake.
Won't you same my name one time
Please, just say my name.

If time is all I had,
I'd waste it all on you.
Each day I'll turn it back.
It's what the broken hearted-do.
I'm tired of talking to an empty space.
Of silences keeping me awake.

If time is all I had,
I'd waste it all on you.
Each day I'll turn it back.
It's what the broken hearted-do.
I'm tired of talking to an empty space.
Of silences keeping me awake.

Won't you same my name
When the song is over?

Okay, weepy chicks, how about a little cheerier Mick/Beth music?

Try "You're All I Have" by Snow Patrol.
You're cinematic, razor-sharp
A welcome arrow through the heart
Under your skin feels like home
Electric shocks on aching bones

...

There is a darkness deep in you
A frightening magic I cling to

...

I have no fear, 'cause you are all that I have
It's so clear now that you are all that I have

Here's a song I've always liked, but I never realized before how much it reminds me of Mick's push-pull relationship with Coraline.

Here's a youtube vid of the song, with lyrics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4MpxCMfo0g

Coming Back In
Toby Lightman

Every time I try to walk away
You pull me back with all those things you say
And I find myself unable to leave
Do you have a clue to what you are doing to me?

And now I'm singing the words that I don't have the strength to say
And I am thinking about the courage to let me walk away

[Chorus:]
But I keep coming back in, coming back in, coming back in to you
Yes, I'm coming back in, coming back in, 'cause I know what you do
So I'm coming back in, coming back in,
I'm coming back in to you, to you

Always searching for that one reason
To run off with the tide, to change with the season
Always needing time to contemplate
The emotions I give, but you can't reciprocate

And now I'm singing the words that I don't have the strength to say
And I am thinking about the courage to let me walk away

[Chorus]

And now I'm singing the words that I don't have the strength to say
And I am thinking about the courage to let me walk away
And I am closing the door to your face in my mind
And i am running away from this past that i should leave behind
I should leave behind

[Chorus]

Only if you want me to, I'll let you go
Only if you want me to

I warn you that his body movements are kind of distracting, so you might want to just listen to it (although he is wearing very Mick-like clothes): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f76Y3NzpDsE

I thought of Josef when I first heard this song......If there had been more time to spend on Sleeping Beauty.....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5TNK-TvIcI
I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own

I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing
"Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!"

One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand

I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I can't explain
Once you go there was never
Never an honest word
And that was when I ruled the world

It was the wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become

Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh, who would ever want to be king?

I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I see Josef in the Crusades, on horseback, leading the assault

For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world

I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
