It is coco. Wasn't the lighting exquisite? As well as the subject matter of course. ;)

The fire that was in the background of that whole scene just lit Mick up beautifully. Not that he needs any help in the beautiful department.

Random question: Am I the only one who just cannot bear the photos of Mick with his face cut and bleeding? :hankie: People seem to find them appealing - in a way - but they just tear me apart. :hankie:

Years ago, Mr. Phoenix got in a fight with three guys, and his face was cut and bleeding. :hankie: (Those pics of Mick bring back those terrible memories...) BTW, I witnessed the fight, so can confirm that there really were three other guys involved in the fight.

Does not "bother" me Phee... but I don't find them all that appealing either.

To me the pictures of Mick with his face bleeding are very emotional. I don't find them appealing as in sexy--I find them appealing in that they remind me of what Mick is all about. The struggle against tough odds. The valient effort to do right no matter what the cost. I hate fighting in RL--and, although I'm good at first aid, I don't enjoy patching up a person who has been in a fight...

I agree, alle. I do find these pics appealing as they show us this other side of Mick - the side he wanted to get back to and it is very emotional to see them. Every Mick pic is appealing to me, just in different ways. :snicker:

I find the photos of him all beat up to be an emotional thing too, him realizing the frailties of being human. But they also make me want to take care of him and make it all better and tell him everything's going to be alright. I do not like nor condone violence in RL, either, unless it's totally self-defense -- then it's kick-ass time.

That whole scene in TMC just does me in, Phee. :hankie:

For me, seeing Mick hurt on the outside is just a reminder of how much he hurts on the inside - from what's been done to him and what he does to himself - and that always makes me kinda sad.

Thanks for responding, ladies. :flowers: Sorry, I meant no offense with the question. :blushing:

The photos of "beaten-up Mick" just tear me apart, and I wondered if people who had never seen a loved one beaten up in RL, would view the Mick pics differently.

I absolutely understand your reaction, Phoenix. I reeeeeally hate fighting. But I agree with Pgal that Mick hurting on the outside is more of an illustration of Mick's inside, his pain and his gallantry. I want to hug him and wash his face and put steri-strips on his booboos so they won't scar... :comfort:
