It's so wonderful to hear that the download link is working so well on so many different players! I was kind of worried when it wouldn't work on WMP, as that seemed like a pretty standard one. Sounds like it actually works on most things, which is great to know. :hearts:

Just giving this a bump - I had a delightful re-watch this week. This really grows on me the more I watch it.

I'm still very glad Coraline was recast, they changed the vampire 'look' and that we got a new Guillermo. But apart from those things, there is an awful lot here to love.

Thanks for bumping this, Red. :flowers:

I just noticed that I can't find this anywhere on my PC and I was sure I downloaded it last time. :chin:

Having spent a little time in the original pilot myself this weekend, one thing I did realize is...I wished they'd kept Moonlight in New York, instead of moving it to L.A. I think it could have kept the grittier edge that appealed to me by keeping it in a grittier, tougher city.

The other thing I realized is...I really love Alex. Yeah, yeah, I know...but even in this little bit of Moonlight, where he was green as grass in a Hollywood sense, the potential for greatness was there. The facial expressions, and the rising above the sometimes corny dialogue, and how smooth and relaxed he seemed compared to the sometimes stiffness of the cast surrounding him...that talent really shined through.

Edited because my English teacher would have been appalled at "shown" instead of "shined".

Yes. Absolutely. THIS!!!

It does make me realise that, for all the flak we dish out, there are people at the networks who know talent when they see it. :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:

I'd have liked to see it stay in New York, too and I would have loved to keep Mick the cool jazz trumpeter, rather than Mick the dodgy Hawaiian guitarist.

But still, after all this time, this has the capability to thrill. And that's pretty wonderful.

EXACTLY, Red. :hearts:

We may not always have liked the decisions CBS made re: Moonlight, but no one can deny that they LOVE Alex, and have worked hard to keep him in their employ.

Yes to this COMPLETELY. Mick the trumpeter in that smokey jazz club was infinitely cooler than Hawaiian-shirt Mick.

While I agree about cool jazz trumpeter...dodgy Hawaiian shirt Mick was pretty adorable, too. And it did do such a nice job of really pointing out how much cool he gained from being turned.

The download link isn't working for me. :hankie: :hankie:

It keeps coming up with a duration of 0:00 and the file won't play. I have the VLC player installed so I'm confused. :sigh:

In case anyone's interested, the "official" Warner Bros. promo DVD with the ML pilot presentation is up on eBay with a starting bid of $39.99. The DVD also has other WB pilots from 2007-2008: Sarah Connor Chronicles, Gossip Girl, Big Shots, Chuck, Pushing Daisies and Big Bang Theory. :twothumbs:
