Old but brilliant Moonlight article - IGN, Sept. 27, 2007

Post by redwinter101 »

I was looking for some props info and I stumbled across this article. It's definitely new to me (as this was long before ML aired in the UK) but I'm sure a lot of you will have read it. There are interviews with all the main cast, pictures, character discussions, their ideas about where the show would go, location info - oh it's just fabulous!! :cloud9: :cloud9:

One word of warning, this is more than a little bittersweet. This was written during the filming of episode 6, just before the first episode aired, and they are all full of excitement and hope and expectation. It squeezes my heart.

Wow... that is an amazing article. Thank you so much for sharing it with us! :rose: I'd never seen it before, and yeah... it's broken my heart all over again. :Mickangel: :hankie: But it was wonderful to go back to that happy, excited, energized time with the cast. I think my favorite part of the article was the segment with Shannyn.

That's amazing!!! :hearts:  Thank you, red! I have seen snippets of this quoted, but never the whole thing. I love that they included all four leads, and they had so much insight into what the show was about. And already there was trouble in paradise, with the showrunner leaving. :happysigh:
"There's something very sexy about Jason, but he's young and doesn't know it, which is even sexier."
Shannyn had quite the insight into Jason, don't you think? She said nice things about Alex too.
Actually, it seems they all got on really well. It showed.

And Alex and Sophia were sooo cheeky about the nudity. :rolling:

Ooooohhhhhhhhhh maaaaaaaaaaaaan; that was heartbreaking!!!!!! :hankie: :hankie: :hankie:

SUCH promise that show had and talk about soul! THOSE actors had soul. But already, by BC, it was a frikkin train wreck that left the actors utterly puzzled, clearly a little anxious, and not quiiiiiiiite even knowing how their own characters were supposed to be developing (and yeah, talk about side steps... ). God bless em.

And truly, the Giant Lemon took a diamond and rendered it into dust. Talk about epic fail. :slaphead: :hankie:

:hankie: :Mickangel: It's so heartbreaking to read how much Alex loved Moonlight. He sounded like a child who just ran down the steps on Xmas morning and saw a load of gifts under the tree. It's unfortunate that those gifts had coal in them. :gasp: :sigh:

thanks, red....it is a bit of a heartbreaker, but it's nice to know that the cast really did get along and respect each other (and have some fun about it.) They had such high hopes for where the show could go and how their characters would develop.

A line from Camelot comes to mind, as only Richard Burton could deliver....'Don't let it be forgot, that once, there was a spot, for one, brief shining moment that was known as Camelot.'

The same could be said of Moonlight.

Fabulous article.

I won't talk about the insanity of it all. The incredible chemistry, wonderful characters, and incredible potential in this gem of a show.

Sigh.

:witsend: :noway: :noway: :noway: :noway:

That Camelot reference is lovely and so very fitting!
