I just wanted to take a moment to comment on "how does a person get to 25K posts?"

Well, in the case of our fearless admin, it goes like this (in no particular order):

birthday greetings
forum announcements
commenting on loads and loads of fic
commenting on picture threads
keeping game threads going
responding to the challenge thread
discussing, sometimes at great length, developments/problems on the board
commenting on all sorts of random threads, both Moonlight related and otherwise
bumping topics of interest
coming up with new ideas to keep the board fresh and interesting
and even, far too occasionally, posting her own excellent fic

I'm sure I've forgotten a lot of things...and that's not even counting responding to PMs from members, on all sorts of topics, and registering new members, and doing upgrades to board software, and....well, I think you get the drift.

It's not surprising that she's hit 25,000 posts, it's only surprising she didn't do it long ago!

Lucky

Please bear with me...

I'm watching a show on public TV called "Super Brain w/Dr. Rudy Tanzi"

It says that there are three main parts of our brain: the reptillian or instinctive, the limbic or emotional, and the neocortical or intellectual brain.

The reptillian brain is the oldest part of the brain which we share with mammals, amphibians and reptiles. That part of the brain has four functions (you see where this is going, right?)

- Feeding
- Fighting
- Fleeing

and (this is public TV after all)
- Reproduction

So maybe this means we all have a vampire within us! :snicker: :rolling: :snicker:

Love it! :snicker:

Personally, I think four "F"s rolls off the tongue much more fluidly than three "F"s and an "R". Easier to remember, too. :teeth:

When you're seriously thinking of getting Mick & Josef tattooed somewhere on your body (I'm thinking side of my calf, but it will depend on what the tattooist advises). I've found a guy in Adelaide who does the most mind blowing portrait work. I've already got a celtic knot and pentagram done on my chest (by another awesome artist), I'm saving up to get a old fashioned typewriter, with a raven perched on top of it done on my arm (and I'm having the brand name of the typewriter changed to 'Moonlight'), and then after that I'm heading in to get a quote on the J/M tatt (the promo shot of them where they're both fully vamped out). I have a sneaking feeling it will be way out of my price range, but if I don't ask I won't know. I like the idea of having them on my leg, because that way no matter where I go, they'll always be walking beside me. :melts:

I'll wait with baited breath...love the idea of the typewriter....and that does qualify you as a MOONLIGHTHOLIC regardless of your number of posts!

What can I say, Moonlight has allowed me to meet people, and get involved in things, and go places (figuratively speaking) I thought I'd never be able to go. It rekindled my passion for writing, it's still the first thing I check when I turn on the computer, and the last thing I look at before I turn the computer off and go to sleep. It cheers me up when I'm down, it calms me when I'm stressed, it's my happy little escape pod when the real world starts getting too strange to handle. It means everything to me, and so do those two characters, and I want a permanent reminder of that wherever I go.

OK I'm a serious Moonlightaholic when watching this inspirational Girls Inc commercial then at :30 into the ad I see....The Hotel Rosslyn! :yahoo:
Sorry what was this commercial about??? Girls screaming and celebrating because they are standing where Mick stood in Fated to Pretend as they throw "I LUV U" letters to Mick off the roof?.....I think? :chin:
No, I remembered cause I immediately ran to YT to see if I could find the "Girls Inc" commercial...Now that is addiction! Moonlightaholisum at it's best!!! That's ME!
I SEE MOONLIGHT EVERYWHERE! This show is a part of me and everything in it still has an effect no mater when, where or what bits I see of it. I'll never be the same. :hearts:

Eeeek! :hyper2: :hyper2: :hyper2: What better place for those girls to stand and throw out empowering letters to the world?! We Moonlightaholics know how it feels to take that leap of faith, as Mick did. To reach out to save someone, even though you might fall yourself. That's just one of the wonderful lessons Mick taught us. And yeah, I totally understand seeing Moonlight everywhere. Moonlight is everywhere for me. And you dear friends are the only ones who understand that the way I do. :ghug:

Yes, yes, yes!! :ghug: You gals are so right. :hearts: I love that PSA, Kath -- and I would have reacted exactly the same way. :highfive:

I recently posted on the General Movie thread that when I saw Argo, when they did the fly in over Warner Brothers, I immediately looked for -- and found :teeth: -- Josef's NY house. I can't turn off the Moonlight.

Argo is supposed to be coming out on video in February I think. Perhaps we need to cooperate on getting a screen cap with an arrow?

I think I can handle that. :teeth: And a screencap of the courthouse steps where Beth and Talbot sat, among other things... :snicker:
