Blue and Alle, so glad you got together because I loved this - the noir, the cat thoughts (they are not only sentient but smart - speaking as the human who lives in my cat's house), and the freezer, how sweet... (Mick, who is now the vampire who sleeps in Travis' freezer). :P

wollstonecraft61 - Renee...you caught off guard? That suprises me. You are such a good reader and so sharp. I'm glad I pulled it off and you enjoyed it.

francis - I'm glad I was able to take you along on the hunt. *It was sort of fun :snicker: *

lunalux - It's just perfect isn't it, Mick sleeping in Travis's freezer. :coffee:

Thank you all for reading and leaving a comment. Alle and I appreciate it. :mooncat:

Wonderful!
Dark and noir with the touch of humor at the end. I was thinking that Mick finally gave in to his vamp side, then I figured it was Beth.

Lastly, I thought it was a slash piece--till I remembered Travis was a cat!

So, ya got me good! :mooncat:

Ladies, I thought this was brilliant. What a wonderful idea. You had me right up to the last. Right after my bark of surprised laughter, I melted at the friendship between Mick and Travis (I'm a catlover too).

Two thumbs up (well, four if you count my big toes). LOL

All I could think of was Mick had gone rogue or loony in the head!!!! :coffee: When I found out it was Travis, I was so happy; I love, love, love Travis!!!! I felt like I was there with him on the hunt. The descriptions of his hunting and the thoughts were so well done! Excellent job, Bluedahlia and Allegrita!!!! :yahoo: :yahoo: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :gasp: :Mickangel: :yahoo: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :hyper2: :hyper2: :kitten: :scarycat: :yahoo: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :thud: :thud: :thud: :thud: :notworthy:  :hyper2:

GA - Thank you so much for your nice comments. Travis muse liked them too, especially the bark of laughter. :yahoo:

greenleaf9 - So sweet of you to read this. Thank you. :kitten: Travis muse strikes again!

mitzie - I had a lot of fun with the hunting description so I'm glad you enjoyed it. The whole concept just stuck me as funny and perhaps too coincidental not to mention.

:mooncat: I'm so glad everyone enjoyed it.

Blue, Alle - this was beyond cute.

I'll admit, you two had me going until I got to the freezer - VERY original!

And the writing is just so good - I love this:
The best view is from the ledge, next to the gargoyle. We are two cold, stone statues sitting side by side, lurking at the edge of eternity.
Great job, you two!
